The United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Voorhees College, and UNCFSP are collaborating to implement the the Healthy Communities Initiative. UNCF will provide scholarships for study in health-related fields at HBCUs. Voorhees College will establish a Center for Excellence in Rural and Minority Health to provide health education programs, clinical services, and health research. UNCFSP will manage the “Community Impact Program,” which will support community service and service learning programs addressing health disparities in racial and ethnic communities by building up the current Learn & Serve Program.
