INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC POLICY (IIPP)
INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM
FACULTY FELLOWS PROGRAM
To enhance the IIPP model and make it a greater resource for the minority higher education community, a number of innovations will be implemented in the 2009-2010 academic year. The cornerstone of these innovations is the UNCFSP Faculty Fellows Program, which is designed to assist faculty from Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) to enhance or create curricula on Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTLs), area studies, international relations, and other relevant subjects. The program goal is to assist faculty members in the development of the programs and curriculum that will lend to the internationalization of their institutions.
In the summer of 2010, a cohort of faculty members from Minority Serving Institution (MSI) will participate in the UNCFSP Faculty Fellows Program. This program, focused on developing international education curricula, will expose Faculty Fellows to replicable models used to engage rising undergraduate juniors and seniors in the IIPP Fellowship Program. Based on their experiences as Faculty Fellows, participants will develop lesson plans designed to enhance international affairs infrastructure on their home campuses.
Transportation, meals, and lodging will be provided for participants in the UNCFSP Faculty Fellows Program.
