Program Overview
 

Sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (US AID), the IDP Activity carried the following three mandates: 1) strengthened the ability of institutions in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Caribbean to meet the socio-economic needs of their constituencies; 2) assisted in the achievement of USAID goals and the strategic objectives of USAID Missions; and 3) furthered the international involvement of HBCUs.  The three programs funded by the IDP Activity were: 1) International Development Partnerships (IDP), 2) Education for Development and Democracy Initiative (EDDI), 3) Cross-Hemispheric Partnerships (CHP).
